Why Choose Wamshin for Large Frames?
Manufacturing frames larger than 24x36" requires specialized expertise. Standard frames often bow or warp under the weight of glass. At Wamshin, we use Reinforced V-Nail Technology and Premium Wood Glues to ensure every corner stays tight and every frame remains perfectly square.
The Wamshin Quality Standard
Anti-Warping
Kiln-dried wood (8-12% moisture) ensures stability in various climates.
Custom Engineering
We customize the molding thickness and back bracing based on the frame size.
Safe Glazing
Option for High-definition Plexiglass (Acrylic) to prevent breakage during shipping.
Secure Hanging
Heavy-duty D-rings and wire systems pre-installed for safety.
The Molding (Profile)
For large frames, the profile isn't just about looks-it's about structure. We recommend moldings with a minimum width of 2cm and depth of 3cm for frames larger than A2 size to support the weight of the glazing and backing.
Glazing Options
Plexiglass (Acrylic): Recommended for export. Lightweight & Shatterproof.
Real Glass: Available for smaller sizes or specialized crate shipping.
Acid-Free Matboard
We use acid-free, lignin-free matboards to prevent yellowing and protect your client's artwork over time.
Backing & Hardware
MDF backing (E1 grade) with moisture-resistant tape sealing. Professional 4-hole D-rings for secure wall mounting.
Our Manufacturing Process
1. Wood Selection & Drying
We select premium grade timber (Oak/Pine/Ash) and kiln-dry it to ensure stability. This step is crucial to prevent the frame from warping after shipment.
2. Precision Cutting
Using automated double-miter saws, we cut molding at precise 45-degree angles to ensure gap-free corners.
3. Reinforced Joining
Corners are joined using both high-strength wood glue and V-nails (underpinner). For extra-large frames, we add L-brackets for additional support.
4. Hand Finishing
Frames are sanded smooth by hand. We apply multiple coats of stain or paint, sanding between coats for a furniture-grade finish.
5. Assembly & Inspection
Glass is cleaned, artwork/insert is placed, and backing is sealed. Every frame undergoes a strict visual inspection before packing.
6. Safety Packaging
We use corner guards, bubble wrap, and custom cartons. Drop tests are performed to ensure compliance with Amazon/Courier standards.
